The Work You Will Do:
This position works directly with a team of other Customer Service Representatives to greet and assist job seeker candidates with accessing services in person in the center, on the phone and chat system, as well as assist employer customers to screen and refer job seeker candidates to their job opening positions in Employ Florida.
Screening the job seeker candidate for qualifications and experience as required for compliance and recording applicable supporting documentation in the management information system to include all notes as it pertains to the quality of services provided. The incumbent in this position will:
• Assist job seeker candidate with full registration in the Employ Florida to include Background, Contact details and a Resume.
• Identifies and recommends to the job seeker candidate actions and services needed to apply for applicable job openings in Employ Florida and other job boards as well as develop and provide resume guidance and development.
• Review’s memorandums, e-mails, reports and communications related to center operations and customer services and responds to the actions required by the Center Manager or Point of Contact staff.
• Conduct follow up and monitor the job seeker candidates process into employment.
• Ensure placement information is obtained and shared timely and properly to Job Order control unit to assist with placement information getting entered into the State MIS in a timely manner.
• Professionally handle all customer service-related issues that may arise on a day-to-day basis and include Management team if necessary, to resolve.
• Prepare a monthly summary from weekly activity reports and submit to management by the deadline set by the CareerSource Center Manager.
• Participate in center meetings and countywide meetings to provide feedback related to job seeker activities and provide recommendations as needed.
• Work with Career Advisors to assist with job seeker training process to include providing training information and conducting general aptitude assessment testing as needed.
• Participates in promotional activities to promote services that are available to eligible persons, such as, Job Fairs, Recruiting Events and Career Days.
• Provide direct assistance to job seeker candidate to include, resume assistance, job search, arranging for skills assessments, LMI, and documenting all activities in the State MIS if needed.
• Provide labor exchange services to eligible persons including intake and assessment, counseling, testing, job search assistance, and referral and placement if needed.

Pay:

Your Specific Responsibilities
• Provide re-employment services including, but not limited to, career assessment and planning; useful and relevant labor market information, resume building, mock interviews, referrals to specialized employability skills workshops; and other appropriate pre-employment preparation services. Use electronic and other resources to help customers make career and job search decisions. Facilitate employment as expeditiously as possible for customers by actively providing job screening/matching and referrals.
• Serve as a universal customer contact – assist walk-in customers with a range of customer requests and needs including assisting customers at the Career Center kiosks, conducting initial assessments, and serving as a complaint specialist for the Career Center.
• Help businesses recruit applicants for their jobs by working on job matching; identify suitable candidates for open job orders in the Employ Florida system.

• Make initial contact with eligible trade-affected individuals whose employment has been threatened and who have been temporarily or permanently laid off. May be required to travel and provide own transportation. Review application and ensure information is recorded into the State Management Information System. Collect appropriate documentation needed to verify data elements. Conduct an initial assessment of the workers' eligibility for services by reviewing work experience, education and abilities. Refer eligible individuals to the appropriate staff for a comprehensive assessment. Identify the workers enrolled in training deadline and refer individuals to staff for a further assessment to determine services and benefits for which the individual qualifies. Assist staff in obtaining information from other states and/or entities regarding eligibility for reemployment assistance benefits, trade readjustment allowances, etc. Assist staff in pulling together information needed in order to conduct a Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) Information Meeting for trade-affected workers who are covered under a certified petition. Assist workers, employer, union representative, etc., in completing petition form.
• Work with the Rapid Response Coordinator providing assistance with information on TAA Petition filing as applicable.
• Serve as a Federal Bonding Contact Specialist – learn all aspects of this service and be available to complete required forms, documentation, etc. as required.
• Serve as a backup workshop facilitator – learn all workshops offered by Career Center and be able to be a backup to workshop trainers countywide
• Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly statuses and other informational reports as requested.
• Record all services and applicable case notes in the appropriate management information systems timely and accurately.
• Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.


The Employment Security Representative II serves as the regions TAA Coordinator, making initial contact with eligible trade-affected individuals whose employment has been threatened and who have been temporarily or permanently laid off and assisting these individuals in determining services and benefits for which the individual qualifies.

Qualifications:
As a condition of pre-employment eligibility, a Level 2 security background screening is required, which consists of fingerprinting and a check of local, state and national law enforcement records.
