BENTON POLICE DEPARTMENT2+ weeks agoAgency“Just the Facts” Summary: May 12, 2024 • A motorcycle was reported stolen at Fountain Lake Apartments and later located off of I-30. The investigation is ongoing. • A traffic stop on the North Service Road resulted in one subject being arrested for Possession with Purpose to Deliver Schedule II, Schedule IV, and Schedule VI and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. • Following a traffic stop at the North Service Road and King Street, one suspect was arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance Schedule II and a Grant County warrant. • Following a brief pursuit from Fountain Lake Apartments to the Greens at Longhills Apartments, passengers from the vehicle fled on foot. A juvenile subject was cited for fleeing on foot, and the investigation is ongoing. • Officers responded to a W. Walnut Street address in reference to shots fired and cited one subject for Discharging a Firearm in City Limits. • Multiple extra patrols and business checks were conducted throughout the city. Walnut and multiple items taken. • A theft was reported at a Military Road business. That investigation is ongoing. • A fraudulent return was reported at Walmart. That investigation is also ongoing. • A breaking or entering was reported on Brown Street. An unlocked vehicle was entered and multiple items taken. • Officers in Bryant located a juvenile prior to parents reporting the child missing. Officers cited one subject for Endangering the Welfare of a Minor. • Following a traffic stop at Border and Cherry, officers cited one subject for Fictitious Tags, Driving on Suspended License, Failure to Present Insurance, Obstructing Governmental Operations, and Defective Tail Lamps. Officers also transported the subject for an outstanding warrant out of Conway PD. • Multiple extra patrols and business checks were conducted throughout the city. Shady resulted in one subject being charged with Possession of Controlled Substance Schedule II. • A traffic stop at Deer Drive and Longhills resulted in one suspect being arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance Schedule II. • A breaking or entering was reported at the post office, where the victim had multiple packages stolen. The investigation is ongoing. • A theft was reported near Hwy 35 and Kidd Lane. Two subjects were taken into custody for Theft by Receiving. One of the subjects was also charged with Driving on Suspended License. • Officers took a forgery report from a victim whose credit card was fraudulently used at T.J. Maxx. The investigation is ongoing. • Following a traffic stop at South Street and Richards, one suspect was arrested for Non-Financial Identity Fraud, Possession of Controlled Substance (Meth), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Unauthorized Use of Another Person’s Property to Facilitate Certain Crimes, Criminal use of Prohibited Weapons, and various traffic offenses. • A shoplifting was reported at Walmart.
